Last week Gr. 3/4/5 presented their chapel which they called “Speak Life”.
They based this idea on Proverbs 18:21 which says that our words have the power of life and death. In preparation for this chapel, Gr. 3/4/5 focused their morning devotions on why it is important to build each other up and also how we can do this. Students created a bulletin board with many notes with things that they could say to one another to lift each other up. It was impressive!
In planning for the chapel students worked in groups to come up with a very short skit that would give positive examples of how we can encourage one another in hopes of giving other students some good ideas. The students also looked at other verses in the Bible that give us insight into the words we speak. They took those Bible verses and put them in their own words to share with other students during chapel. Students were very creative and worked very hard to bring the message of speaking life to one another.
And of course, we ended the chapel singing “Speak Life” by Tobymac!
May you be encouraged to SPEAK LIFE today!!
