Animal Sketches

The students in Grade 3-4 are doing a research project on an animal of their choice. As part of the project they have been given the task of sketching their animal.This process required looking closely at the details of a gridded photo and transferring to their gridded paper. Checking and rechecking, erasing and checking again was a difficult task that required patience and persistence.One student commented, “I never thought I would get this sketch done. I can’t believe I finished it and that it’s so good.“Students listened to feedback and made multiple changes until they were satisfied with their work. The completed sketch shows a finished product that students are very proud of.
