100 Days!!

By Heidi Blokland

100 days of learning

100 days of fun

100 days of work and play…

Yes, we’re the lucky ones!

Grade 1 and 2 students have been anxiously counting up and looking forward to celebrating this day.

Each student came dressed to school wearing 100 things, such as 100 cheerios, 100 bandaids, or 100 dots.

We even had a visit from our own super hero – 100 MAN!

After making 100 day glasses, students timed themselves to see how many actions they could do in 100 seconds.

The record for writing their name was … 54 times in 100 seconds.

The record for hopping was over 200 hops in 100 seconds.

The record for reciting the alphabet was 17 times in 100 seconds.

We went on a treasure hunt trying to find 100 hidden pieces of numbered candy. When we found them we lined them up and divided them equally among the 20 students.

And then students finished off the day by writing about their goals of what they hope to accomplish before they turn 100.

It was a great day and we are thankful for 100 days of learning here at TCS!
