1. BIBLE:
The Bible is the written Word of God, by which the Holy Spirit enlightens
our understanding of God, ourselves and the world. It is the foundation of
our training and nurturing which helps lead us to confess Jesus Christ as
Lord. |
 |
2. CREATION:
God is the Creator of everything. We view all creation in relation to its
Creator, the Triune God. |
 |
3. HUMANITY:
We were created in the image of God to enjoy fellowship with our Creator as
well as bear witness to those who don't know Christ. God instructed us to
exercise dominion over the earth in strict and loving obedience to Him and
in accordance with His design and law. |
 |
4. SIN: Adam
and Eve disobeyed God in the Fall of mankind in the Garden of Eden. Sin is
disobedience of God's law and separates us from God.
|
|

|
5. JESUS CHRIST:
Jesus Christ is our Redeemer; through Christ and the work of the Holy Spirit
we are guided in the truth and recommitted to our original calling here on
earth. |
|

|
6. EDUCATION:
The purpose of Christian education is to provide the child understanding,
wisdom and righteousness which he can use in his relationship to others and
God, in helping him understand himself, as well as the world around him.
Education is providing learning experiences suitable to the needs and
abilities of each child. |
|

|
7.
PARENTS:
God has entrusted parents with children and given them the primary
responsibility to educate and nurture their child(ren). Parents accept this
responsibility in view of the covenantal relationship God establishes with
believers and their children. Parents seek to fulfill their responsibility
by sending their child(ren) to Christian schools. |
|

|
8. STUDENT:
Children are image bearers of the Lord with God-given talents and unique
personalities. They have been placed in a covenantal relationship with
Christ and their education must be in keeping with this relationship. |
|

|
9. TEACHER:
Christian teachers accept the responsibility from parents to further nurture
and educate their child(ren) in school, instructing students in a deeper
understanding of God's world and its history. Teachers encourage students to
attain responsible maturity grounded in Biblical faith so they can take up
their specific responsibilities and work in life, in a manner pleasing to
the Lord. |
|

|
10. CHRISTIAN
SCHOOL: The Christian school, established and controlled by a
society of Christian believers, in accordance with legitimate standards and
provisions, possesses the freedom to function in the field of education in
total and voluntary submission to Christ the King.
