CODE OF CONDUCT
DISCIPLINE
Discipline is
an essential element of Christian nurture. As Christian teachers, we see
discipline as assisting the student to live and work responsibly with each
other in a way that reflects the Biblical command of love and promotes the
development of mutual trust and respect. Parents are expected to work along
with and support the teachers in those occasions where disciplining of their
child is required. Students who use fists to solve problems will be
expected to be
picked up immediately, and will
spend the rest of that day and the next school day at home. Teachers will not
listen to any reasons or excuses for the fighting. Work will not be prepared
and sent home; the intent is to simply remove the aggressive behaviour from
the school. Our students must find and practise other means of resolving
conflict. This is a Christian school and we must hold our students to a high
level of conduct. All of the students in TCS must feel safe at all times.
